Featuring Guest Speaker:
Allison Delashmit, Executive Director of the Lower Keys Guides Association (LKGA)
Allison will guide teachers through hands-on activities and interactive games while exploring a free, educator-designed curriculum aligned with Florida’s Next Generation Sunshine State Standards.
Curriculum includes three engaging modules:
- 🌱 Conservation of Marine Ecosystems (focusing on mangroves as our main focus)
- 🎣 The Art and Science of Becoming an Angler (fish handling techniques)
- 🚤 Boating Safety for Next Gen Mariners (they are in your classrooms!)
Take home ready-to-use classroom resources, curriculum materials, online codes, and free giveaways—all designed to make it easy to bring the outdoors into your lessons.
Potential service hours may be available for participating educators (pending Monroe County Ed. Dept. approval)
