🌿 Florida Bay Forever to Speak at Monroe County Delegation Meeting
It’s that time of year again! Our State Representative, Jim Mooney, will be holding the Monroe County Legislative Delegation Meeting on Wednesday, November 13th at 10:00 a.m. via Zoom.
This annual meeting gives community members, organizations, and local leaders the opportunity to share their priorities and concerns directly with state legislators.
Florida Bay Forever is honored to speak at this year’s meeting to represent the voice of Florida Bay — especially in light of Senate Bill 180 (SB 180), which limits the ability of local governments to adopt stronger water-quality protections. We’ll be emphasizing how critical it is for Monroe County and the Florida Keys to retain the flexibility to respond quickly to local water issues and protect our unique ecosystems.
We encourage residents to tune in and learn more about the issues shaping the future of the Florida Keys — from clean water and conservation to community resilience.
