The Environmental Town Hall was powerful, energizing, and filled with people who truly care about the Keys, Florida Bay, and our shared future. Florida Bay Forever was honored to work with the Florida Keys Guides Association, I.CARE, Last Stand of the Florida Keys, the Lower Keys Guides Association and Surfrider to bring citizens and elected officials together to discuss critical legislation concerning our local waters.
We appreciate the elected officials who showed up — State Rep. Jim Mooney, Monroe County Commissioners Michelle Lincoln and Holly Merrill Raschein, Islamorada Village Councilman Steve Friedman, as well as Village Manager Ron Saunders — and implore them to listen to the people of the Keys through action!
The room was full of ideas, passion, and a shared commitment to clean water, smart growth, and protecting the place we all love. This is what community looks like — showing up, listening, and speaking out. 💚
A heartfelt thank you to Safe Harbor Angler House for your ongoing commitment to supporting local nonprofits and community-focused work.
