Moving Forward Together at Russell Cottage 🌿
We’re grateful to share that Florida Bay Forever will continue calling the Russell Cottage home at Green Turtle Hammock.
Over the past several weeks, the Village listened carefully to public input, engaged in meaningful discussion, and worked with us to find a thoughtful path forward. We truly appreciate the Village Council and Village staff for their willingness to collaborate and for recognizing how deeply this community values environmental education and stewardship.
This outcome reflects what makes Islamorada special — people who care, who speak up, and leaders who listen.
Florida Bay Forever will continue providing environmental education, restoration initiatives, and community programming at Green Turtle Hammock. Even more exciting, this next chapter strengthens collaboration with the Village and other mission-aligned organizations, amplifying the impact we can make together for Florida Bay.
