🚧✨ WE’RE BACK — RUSSELL COTTAGE IS OPEN! ✨🚧
We’re excited to share that The Village has begun an opening phase at the Environmental Resource Center!🌿The Village welcomed Florida Bay Forever back into the Russell Cottage at the Green Turtle Hammock Nature Preserve, where we have our Eco-Gift shop alongside the Village’s new Environmental Resource Center!
Florida Bay Forever will be there, welcoming visitors and storytelling about Florida Bay. On Thursdays you can meet some of The Village’s other nonprofit partners, making this a rotating hub for community learning, connection, and stewardship.
Florida Bay Forever will continue offering guided hikes and hands-on environmental education programs throughout the week at Green Turtle Hammock and in the community, just as we always have — and now we’re even more excited to do it from our newly reopened home base.

Florida Bay Forever will staff the Cottage on:
- Wednesdays: 9:30 AM–2:00 PM
- Thursdays: The Village and other local nonprofit organizations will open the Cottage from 9:30 AM–4:00 PM.
- Fridays: 9:30 AM–2:00 PM
- Saturdays: 9:30 AM–2:00 PM
- Sundays: 9:30 AM–2:00 PM
October–December
Florida Bay Forever will staff the Cottage on the following days, excluding holidays:
- Wednesdays: 9:30 AM–2:00 PM
- Thursdays and Fridays: The Village and other local nonprofit organizations will open the Cottage from 9:30 AM–4:00 PM.
- Saturdays: 9:30 AM–2:00 PM
- Sundays: 9:30 AM–2:00 PM
